Abstract

Abstract Acute post-surgical Herpez Zoster should be considered a rare but important differential diagnosis of erythematous or vesiculobullous rashes at the surgical site especially in post-transplant or immunosuppressed individuals. Early diagnosis and prompt antiviral treatment are important to shorten the disease’s morbidity. We present the case report of a 12-year-old boy with Alport syndrome with end stage renal disease, who under renal transplantation, but developed erythematous rashes on post operative day 3, diagnosed as Herpes Zoster. He was managed successfully with medications.
