Abstract
SARS Cov 2 or Corona virus is a respiratory virus, responsible for a new pandemic since 2019. Main symptoms revolve around respiratory manifestations. Nevertheless, many extra-respiratory attacks are attributed to it. Among these impairments, neuropsychiatric disorders are frequently reported. They are manifested by cerebral vascular accidents, myelitis and mainly Guillain Barré syndromes. We report in this work the case of a patient who presented an acute Parkinsonian syndrome following COVID 19 infection. Brain MRI objectified lesions of the basal ganglia. The evolutionary consequences were favorable after treatment targeting covid 19 infection’s encephalopathy and Parkinsonian symptoms. This extremely rare clinical case enriches the very broad spectrum of neurological manifestations of SARS Cov 2 infection.
