Abstract

Herpes simplex virus encephalitis (HSVE) is one of the most potentially fatal infectious central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Thus, early detection is very critical in determining the fate of the case. Clinical history and examination, brain computed tomography, dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI), and lumbar puncture have been used to establish a diagnosis.
