Abstract

The paper summarizes the results of studies of cerebral metabolism in 38 patients with delirium tremens. The findings have led to the conclusion that the leading factor of the pathogenesis of acute cerebral insufficiency in this case is energy deficiency caused by impaired cerebral glucose utilization rather than hypoxia itself.

Introduction

В статье обобщены результаты исследований церебрального метаболизма у 38 больных алкогольным делирием. На основании полученных данных сделан вывод о том, что ведущим фактором патогенеза острой церебральной недостаточности в данном случае является не гипоксия сама по себе, а энергодефицит, обусловленный наруше нием утилизации головным мозгом глюкозы. В каждой пробе югулярной крови определяли концентрацию лактата, пирувата и активность лактатдегидрогеназы (ЛДГ).
