Abstract
Abdominal pain of non-obstetriccauses is not an uncommon event during pregnancy; up to 2% of pregnant women develop an acute abdominal pathology that requires surgical treatment during gravidity, such as acute appendicitis or acute cholecystitis. Discussions on the peculiarities of the clinical presentation, diagnosis and curative management of non-obstetric pathologies in pregnant patients remain relevant. Studies in the field have shown already that surgery during gestation is safe and effective if proper precautions are followed. The consensus of several committees and professional societies is that no pregnant woman should be denied the required surgery because of pregnancy.

Toate modificările fiziologice ce au loc în timpul sarcinii determină o serie de modificări în analizele de laborator, care trebuie luate în considerație la examinarea pacientei gravide ce prezintă dureri abdominale [15, 43]. Nivelul crescut de progesteron în timpul sarcinii determină creșterea temperaturii bazale cu valorile peste 37oC pe parcursul primului trimestru [15, 44], revenind la normal în ultimele două trimestre, înregistrându-se chiar o tendință la hipotermie [15]. Neutrofilie, proteină C-reactivă (PCR), raportul neutrofile/limfocite (RNL), bilirubinemie a fost semnificativ mai mare la pacientele care au necesitat tratament chirurgical, iar valori de referință pentru prognozarea unei patologii chirurgicale acute sunt: leucocitele ≥ 11,000/mm, ne-.
