Abstract

Objective To explore the influence of Chinese medical acupuncture point care combined with western medical care on patients’ rehabilitation after surgery for cervical cancer. Methods 86 patients with cervical cancer undergoing radical surgery at our hospital form March, 2014 to November, 2015 were selected as study objects and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to different care methods. The control group received western medical routine care; in addition, the observation group received Chinese medical acupuncture point care. The symptom scores 24 and 48 hours after operation and SF - 36 life quality score before discharge were compared between these two groups. The nursing satisfaction degree was surveyed. Results After the intervention, the score of quality of life were higher in the observation group than in the control group, P = 0.000 0. The symptom scores 24 and 48 hours after operation were (4.54±0.17) and (2.21±0.16) in the observation group and were (5.01 ± 0.47) and (3.34±0.18) in the control group, P = 0.000 0. The nursing satisfaction degree was 90.70% in the observation group and was 69.77% in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusions Acupuncture point care combined with western medical care can effectively improve the quality of life in patients after surgery for cervical cancer, relieve the symptoms, and increase nursing satisfaction degree, so it is worth for application.
