Actualization of the Traditional Wedding Rite of the Russians of Pritomye with Museum Facilities

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the possibilities of preserving the ethnocultural heritage, reflecting the wedding rituals of the Russians of the Pritomye, using museum means. The museum keeps in its collections the embodied components of wedding rituals. The analysis of museum objects allows us to determine their purpose in the wedding ceremony by revealing their information potential. This determines the novelty of this study. The potential possibilities for presenting the wedding ceremony in the exhibition and cultural and educational activities of the museum are identified.
