Abstract

The Landscape Act was enforced in 2005. As a result, local authorities are able to maintain more certainly of important structures of landscape. The purpose of this study is that to reveal the problem and actual condition for this new system. Through this study, we revealed that this system isn’t supported enough. Therefore, local authorities can’t designate aggressively structures of landscape importance. The point of improvements to this system, for example, is to improve special provisions of the Building Standards Law. Besides, it is necessary to ease the conditions for using of financial assistance and clarify tax benefits.
