Several studies have been conducted on ABI to examine effects on children; however, there is a shortage of literature on how to use ABI to facilitate the acquisition of a second language. This paper describes ABI, showcases studies on ABI used to enhance children’s communication or language development, and demonstrates a model for using ABI for second language acquisition.
