Abstract
According to the Nordic Cultural Agreement of 1971, cooperation in the field of education includes aims, contents, and means of education, the structure of the education system, and educational research and development. Nordic cooperation in the educational sector is to a high degree based on general agreement of the social role and objectives of education.
