Abstract

AbstractThe inductances, FDNRs, etc, in active RC networks are realized as immittance elements. Considering the existence of high‐order elements, a new method of constructing networks can be devised. In this paper, we present active RC networks realizing immittance functions. From fundamental circuits based on unilateral immittance circuits, high‐order networks realizing immittance functions with positive coefficients are derived. Their applications are demonstrated by inverted L‐type circuits. It is shown that the realized networks can be simply constructed and that desired values of the network parameters are easily obtained. It is confirmed by experiment that non‐pole type 5th‐order low‐pass filters constructed with the proposed networks are practical and the circuit sensitivity and dynamic range of the filters are studied.
