Abstract

Abnormal endothelial cell (EC)/trophoblast (TB) interactions are associated with improper implantation, early pregnancy failure and poor placentation. Notch signaling is a key regulator of angiogenesis. Our goal was to define the cell types with Notch activity and correlate this with Notch protein and ligand expression during uterine decidualization and placentation.
