Abstract

The input-series output-parallel (ISOP)-connected system has a wide range of applications. In this paper, we propose an input voltage-sharing control scheme that quickly combines commercial modules in an ISOP connection. A metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) is connected in parallel at the input side of each converter and is controlled by an input voltage-sharing loop to maintain power balance in the system. In this paper, the design method for the input voltage-sharing loop is introduced. The simulation results verify the proposed control scheme, and a prototype is built to obtain the corresponding experimental results.
