Abstract

Isothermal annealing curves of the magnetic anisotropy, induced for H=0 in non-magnetostrictive Co70.4Fe4.6Si15B10, have been obtained for as-quenched and pre-annealed samples. Utilizing a micromagnetic theory of induced anisotropy based upon a distribution of two-level systems, a spectrum of activation energies has been obtained for reversible processes. The activation energy spectrum also accounts for the increase in the coercive field upon annealing.
