Abstract

A technic for rapid molding of acrylic patterns reproduces contours and occlusal planes destroyed in the preparation of the teeth. These patterns are used with a wax impression or gold axial bands and cast copings and for casting complicated in lays, three-quarter crowns, full gold crowns (single or joined for splinting), veneer crowns, dowel crowns and com plete unit-cast bridges. Duplicate patterns are made for temporary replacements, which are cemented with a zinc oxideeugenol paste for better pulpal recovery, and for retention of occlusal and proxi mal relationships. T he technic is appli cable when much tooth structure is lost. I t enables production of plastic appli ances during a normal appointment period.
