Abstract

The Krylov-Bogoliubov asymptotic method has been used for solving the differential equation of the second-order phase-locked loop to calculate the acquisition time in the absence of noise. The acquisition time ta . is defined as the smallest value of time t for which the frequency error ta with ∊1 and ∊2 properly chosen. The results are valid for small initial phase and frequency errors.
