This study aims to investigate L2 acquisition of Korean short form negation by Chinese-speaking and English-speaking learners. In terms of the choice and placement of negative morphemes in short form negation, whether L2 learners from different L1 backgrounds show different developmental aspects, and whether their performance improves as proficiency increases were examined based on the data from Korean Learners
