Abstract

This report documents the occurrence of chorioretinitis apparently due to acquired CMV infection in a male infant with partial immunologic reconstitution of severe combined immunodeficiency. The fundus changes consist primarily of peripheral pigment scarring along vessels, with some focal scarring scattered in the posterior pole. Paramacular edema, small retinal hemorrhages, and choroidal degenerative changes were also part of the chorioretinopathy.
