Abstract

A transverse ultrasonic wave should drag the vortex structure of superconductors at an acute angle with respect to the direction of wave propagation. The oscillation of the vortex density and the directed motion of the vortices give rise to a constant component of electric field in a bulk of the superconductor. The effect should be observed in all type-II superconductors above the irreversibility line.
