Abstract

The results of experimental measurements of acoustic cavitation threshold are presented for the water of the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Arctic Ocean and some other regions of the World Ocean, including the Arabian Sea, the Baltic Sea, the East Siberian Sea, the North Sea, the Philippine Sea, the Sea of Japan, the Sea of Okhotsk and the South China Sea. These measurements were carried out at many ocean expeditions during long time period from 1968 through 1987. It should be noted that acoustic cavitation thresholds of ocean water have different values in different regions of the World Ocean.
