Dietary lipids play an important role in fish nutrition as a source provision of body energy and essential fatty acids (EFA) (Sargent et al., 1999). The low availability and the high exspense of fish oil could suggest the use of an alternative lipid source in aquaculture (Turchini et al., 2000).
