Abstract

Background and Aim: Liver transplantation is usually performed in an individual centre predominantly using either living related or BSD donors depending on regional availability. Given cultural and technical circumstances in India, we are uniquely placed to try and utilize both resources to satisfy waiting list demands. We describe the experiences, evolution and early outcomes from India's largest mixed liver transplant programme, over the last 3 years.
