Abstract

Despite the improved global health indicators obtained in the millennium, many countries are still underdeveloped in this area and present health disparities. The PSF Strategy is to emphasize prevention and rehabilitation both from individuals and their families, through government health indicators. The aim of the present study was to describe the indicators accepted for Mesquita Municipality and for Rio de Janeiro State, and to compare them with the oral health offered by the PSF Strategyto families in Mesquita. Indicators were not good in both. It is important to bring oral health to primary health attention in order to create and reinforce programs or strategies capable of improving health.
