Abstract

The observational experiments on atmospheric aerosols based on the Raman-Mie scattering lidar were introduced. To provide a reference for the selection of the lidar ratio in Fernald method, we analyzed the change of lidar ratios at different altitudes over Nanjing in December. Furthermore, the variation of aerosol extinction and backscattering profiles during the observational experiments was also analyzed. The study shows that the experimental results were mostly influenced by the dust aerosol particles.
