Abstract

Using large volume HPGe detectors the intensity of the 255.1 keV γ-ray relative to the 391.7 keV γ-ray in the decay of 113 Sn(115.1 d) has been accurately measured. This value (3.37 ± 0.05) is found to be significantly large (≈ 18%) compared to the one adopted in the literature. On the basis of the present results a revised decay scheme of 113Sn has been constructed.
