Abstract

Energy levels of the C 1Σ + ( v = 0) and E 1Π ( v = 0) states of 12C 16O have been calculated from measurements dealing with the C 1Σ +- A 1Π, E 1Π- A 1Π, and A 1Π- X 1Σ + systems. Molecular parameters for the C 1Σ + ( v = 0) and E 1Π( v = 0) components of the 3 p Rydberg complex have been deduced from a simultaneous reduction of the C- and E-state term values.
