Abstract

To speed up the matrix-fill time of Method of Moments (MoM) matrix, an approximate analytical expression for the integration of the Green's function involving two-dimensional triangular basis function with line matching has been derived. A full approximate expression is first obtained through direct integration of the Taylor's series expansion of the Green's function. Based on the distance between the source and observation points, a criterion is established to reduce the full expression to a much-simplified expression. The simplified expression improves the computational efficiency further to fill up the MoM matrix without compromising the solution accuracy.
