Abstract

The accuracy with which subjects can judge the coordinates of a mark within an uncalibrated square cell was recorded. A sample of military pilots was able to report both coordinates to the nearest tenth of a cell dimension in approximately 88 per cent of the cases. The number of errors exceeding one-tenth was negligible.
