Abstract

The availability and accuracy of atomic collisional excitation, collisional ionisation and photoionisation cross sections is discussed. Particular attention is called to the work of Bell et al. (1983), Gallagher and Pradhan (1985) and Seaton and co-workers (1987) who provide references or data for a large number of species.
