Abstract

The accurate sub-entire-domain (ASED) basis function and the characteristic basis function (CBF) have been applied to compute the scattering by finite periodic arrays. Comparing with the conventional method of moments (MoM), the number of unknowns can be greatly reduced by using the ASED basis function and the CBF. In this paper, we study the accuracy of these two basis functions when they are used to analyze the electromagnetic scattering by the periodic arrays.
