Abstract

The airborne vector gravimetry is a technique to determine the gravity disturbance vector (GDV). In the paper, an accuracy analysis of a new approach to the direct GDV estimation given measurements along parallel flight lines is performed. The approach is based on modeling of the gravity field as a random field formed by two autoregressive models. One of the models is defined along a line and the other one across the lines. The GDV estimation problem is posed and solved by Kalman filtering and smoothing algorithms. The accuracy analysis of the presented approach is performed using the spectral analysis technique.
