Abstract
Ocean surface current vector, including the magnitude and direction, is very valuable for many applications. The multi-aperture along-track interferometric (MA-ATI) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) provides a new solution for the measurement of ocean current vector. However, if the MA-ATI method tends to play the greatest role in practical application, the accuracy of measurement must be considered and analyzed first. In this paper, the influence of system parameters and ocean current variation on the accuracy of MA-ATI method is studied by establishing a performance evaluation model, which lays a foundation for the wide application of MA-ATI method in current vector detection.
