Abstract

Reconstruction of rock boundaries plays an important role in seismic exploration of minerals. Seismic data processing requires multiple solutions to the corresponding direct problem. Therefore, it is of interest to develop numerical methods for solving direct problems of seismic exploration, taking into account curvilinear boundaries of rocks and surface topography. In this paper, we propose two approaches to accounting for curvilinear boundaries: using curved meshes and using Chimeric meshes. We have used the grid-characteristic numerical method for the solution of boundary value problem of elastic wave equation. To compare the results obtained, we used the method of studying wave phenomena Wave Logica. The analysis of the costs of computing resources was carried out.
