Abstract
Corrosive injuries are not uncommon in developing countries, probably due to careless storage of corrosives and low living standards. Gastric perforations caused by acid corrosive poisoning is a rare complication. In this report, we present a case series of two cases of gastric perforation secondary to accidental acid ingestion which are almost identical in presentation and had extensive necrosis of stomach. In the one patient remnant stomach was in a shape just like a sleeve following sleeve gastrectomy, while in the other a total gastrectomy had to be done.
