Abstract
Reports on the global reach of the IEEE as an organization and explains its regional areas and operations. The IEEE is geographically broken into 10 Regions. Do you know in which Region you are located? Each Region has a Regional Student Activities Committee (RSAC) chair. RSACs provide policy guidance and coordination about student membership and branch issues within the Region. They also deliver training and resources to Student Branch leaders to help Student Branches achieve their maximum potential in offerings and administration. The SAC makes specific recommendations to the Regional Committee on awards and recognition bestowed upon Student Members, Student Branches, and other volunteers related to the student activity. RSACs support the professional development of future engineer leaders. They promote the academic and professional development and the leadership of the IEEE student community in the Region, through the IEEE and for the volunteers.
