Abstract
Peer approval is one of the most rewarding parts of a career in biomedical research. As such, I am especially gratified and honored to be named Co-recipient of the 1999 A.N. Richards Award of the International Society of Nephrology. Of course, the body of work being given this signal recognition was the product of many minds and many hands.
