Abstract

Using a hydrodynamic model, a numerical analysis was carried out for the problem of increasing the liner velocity in layered systems. For the single-stage case of impactor-buffer-liner systems in plane and cylindrical symmetries, the optimal thickness was found for which the velocity of the liner is maximal. The numerical model achieves good agreement with the experimental results.
