Abstract
Contact tracing, or partner notification, is a key pillar for controlling infectious diseases, such as chlamydia. If performed effectively, it can break chains of transmission, reduce the index patient's risk of repeat infection, and reduce the risk of complications for the index patient and their sexual partner(s).1 However, effective contact tracing is challenging because partners can be hard to reach or anonymous, and stigma limits contact and impedes timely testing and treatment.2,3
