Abstract

Accelerated partial breast irradiation is an option for adjuvant radiation therapy under certain circumstances following the recommendations of ASTRO and ESTRO. A variety of techniques have been used in this setting. Volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) is an attractive method but has not been extensively studied for accelerated partial breast irradiation. We present in this study the feasibility and early clinical results of the first patients treated at the Montpellier Cancer Institute.
