Abstract

The paper focuses on the galvanically isolated series-resonant dc-dc converter (SRC) operating at low values of the quality factor of the resonant tank. This topology is considered as a step-up front-end dc-dc converter with buck-boost functionality for integration of renewable energy sources in dc microgrids. The paper presents an implementation of adaptive accelerated global maximum power point tracking algorithm for the SRC converter coupled with a PV module. The algorithm is based on the I-V curve scanning. Experimental results show the performance of the accelerated GMPPT for different partial shading conditions.
