Abstract
Recent reports from the Lothian Birth Cohort and the Sleep Heart Health Study found that accelerated brain aging (i.e., higher brain age than chronological age) was associated with higher likelihood of all-cause mortality. However, these reports did not account for common mortality-related confounding features such as obesity, hypertension, and heart disease.
