Abstract

This study explores the application of Lasswell's communication model within academic networks, emphasizing its role in enhancing scientific communication. Lasswell's model, formulated in 1948, provides a framework for analyzing communication by breaking it down into five essential components: Who? Says What? In Which Channel? To Whom? With What Effect? The research investigates how this model can be applied to modern academic platforms such as Academia.edu, ResearchGate, LinkedIn, and ORCID, examining the key actors, messages, audiences, channels, and impacts of communication in these contexts. The findings highlight the importance of these networks in facilitating academic interactions, sharing scientific knowledge, and fostering collaboration among researchers. The study concludes with recommendations for optimizing the use of these platforms to strengthen academic communication and enhance collaborative efforts in the scientific community.
