Abstract

This study aims to develop and to validate a academic domain-specific construct of grit, the academic grit. In this paper, an explanation is provided why there is a need to stratify the construct and why the proposed construct needs to adopt constructs. The researcher seeks to develop and validate an instrument that measures academic grit which, in turn, a more precise predictor of academic success.
