Abstract

A sharp kink in χ - ̋ vs- H dc curve for H// c-axis of Bi 2Sr 2CaCu 2O 8 single crystal was observed near the second peak in the dc-magnetization curve around 35K. An anomaly was also observed near the irreversibility field at higher temperatures where the dc-magnetization curve has no second peak. These anomalies are explained from a change in relaxation of the magnetization which has probably close relation to vortex transitions.
