Abstract

This paper reports the investigation on ac conductivity, dielectric constant and thermal properties of polyindole/poly(vinyl acetate) composites. As-synthesized composite materials were analyzed through the field effect scanning electron microscope, thermal gravimetric–differential thermal analysis (TG–DTA), differential thermal gravimetry (DTG) and ac conductivity as well as dielectric constant measurements. The ac conductivity of synthesized composites was determined as 1.88 × 10−6 S/cm at frequency 1 MHz (at 373 K). The thermal stability of composites was observed through the TG–DTA analysis. The thermal activation energy was determined from DTG curves.
