Abstract

This paper presents a discussion on the ethical dilemma that has emerged in the Abu Ghraib scandal through philosophical theories to explain and describe the ethical issues, and a summary of the moral challenges and conflicts responsible. In addition, it presents the strategies that must to be followed by the U.S. military to maintain a responsible action. In the second section, the paper discusses the recommendations to address the issue, and the factors that will affect the implementation of the recommendations using a model of ethical decision-making, and the expected results if the U.S. military has carried recommendations. The latter part includes an explanation of violations of human rights and the lack of justice that accompanied the Abu Ghraib scandal.
