Abstract

Data communication in Internet of Things (IoT) application plays an important role in IoT systems. This kind of communication involves many links and its process is complicated because of the characteristics of IoT. In order to express the whole process of data communication clearly, this paper proposes the abstract structure of the data communication in IoT applications in terms of the characteristics of IoT. This abstract structure has the characteristics of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and gives a full description of the system's data communication, which can be used in various aspects of the IoT application and system.
