Abstract
Using of expert systems (ES) for solving problems of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Technical Diagnostics (TD) is considered. Classification of non-formalized problems in the field is proposed, where ES can be effectively applied. By taking existing ES as an example, the possibilities and features of building ES for NDT and TD are investigated. Trends and development problems of ES are analyzed as well as ways of their solving. The information is given on main directions of work in MSIA “Spectrum” (Moscow) in the field of using ES for vibrodiagnostics.
