Abstract

Renal angiomyolipomas (AML) are benign tumors that can grow to considerable size and cause life-threatening hemorrhage. Selective arterial embolization (SAE) is a minimally invasive treatment to devascularize and shrink AMLs. Post-procedural systemic hypertension has not been previously described as a risk of the procedure. Our providers diagnosed post-procedural hypertension in several patients following SAE and sought to determine the incidence in our patient population.
