Abstract

Yttrium-90 (Y-90) radioembolization is a liver-directed treatment option for patients with neuroendocrine tumor liver metastases (NELMs), but there are concerns of long-term hepatotoxicity. Radiation segmentectomy (RS) has been described in hepatocellular carcinoma, selectively delivering tumor-ablative radiation doses in a parenchymal-sparing approach. We hypothesize that RS of NELMs can achieve considerable locoregional disease control with a positive safety profile.
